Appearance: Toad-like head. Dark spots on back and upper half of sides.

Size: 150mm.

Location: Found in estuaries and shallow intertidal flats.

Caution: Extremely toxic and should not be eaten. Human deaths have occurred from the consumption of this fish.

Appearance: Disc-like body, long tail with serrated venomous stinging barb.

Size: Up to 1.2m across disc.

Location: Bottom dwelling fish. Found intertidal zones.

Caution: Can inflic wound by rapid swipe of tail.
